It's an artistic privilege not only be able to create, but to correct when you see something your not
satisfied with. In this case, as I looked at "Long May It Wave", my eye was drawn to the "wave" at the
bottom of the flag. I wasn't satisfied with my artistic rendering of the accuracy of the roll in that area
of the wave, relative to line, shadow and light. It was a very difficult area to render because of my
condition but I've tried my best. I decided to post the photos of this correction showing my steps
steps to that resolve;
First, a view of the original textures and rendering of that area.
Second , is the grinding down of all incorrect definitive texture and color.
Third, applying corrective gesso and acrylic paint.
Fourth, is a close up of the correction with the addition of gesso for refacing and texture, colored acrylic
paint and a clear protective acrylic over spray.
Fifth, is a full view of the bottom of the corrected wave.
